J. A. Russell Ltd is in the business of sourcing, stocking, marketing and supplying electrical goods to all types of electrical industry users throughout a wide geographical area in New Zealand.

We provide service to electrical contractors and electricians and through them to the building industry in New Zealand. We also supply electrical goods to industry through maintenance electricians and engineers, project staff and purchasing officers. We have a number of supply contracts with large industrial users. We are suppliers to Government Departments, SOE's and quasi government organisations.

49 Boston Road is known as the single largest distribution point in the electrical wholesaling industry in New Zealand. 49 Boston Road is our main warehouse and office and the hub of our 16 branches in the greater Auckland area. Additionally, we have 'stand alone' warehouses in Kaitaia,

Kerikeri, Whangarei, Warkworth, Hamilton, Matamata,Te Rapa, Morrinsville, Thames, Whitianga, Whangamata, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Tauranga, Mt. Manganui, Te Puke, Whakatane, Kawerau, Rotorua, Tokoroa and Taupo. In the South Island we have 18 branches - Radcliffe Electrical (J. A. Russell Ltd trading as) Nelson, Richmond, Blenheim, Kaikoura, Greymouth, Hokitika, Rangiora, Christchurch, Sockburn, Ashburton, Timaru, Wanaka, Queenstown, Cromwell, Dunedin, Gore, Dunedin, Invercargill. All 55 branches are network connected by our computer system.

Over four hundred staff are employed and we pride ourselves on the knowledge and experience of our long serving staff. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our selection and training of staff together with our association with New Zealand's leading electrical manufacturers and suppliers. We provide a Price Book service in both hard copy and electronic format. Our commitment to stock and service is foremost and completing the picture is our Quotation & Contracts Department which has contributed in a major way to some of New Zealand's largest electrical projects.
